Yadadri-Bhongir, Apr 30 (UNI) Tension gripped Hajipur village in Bommalaramaram mandal after villagers set fire the house of Marri Srinivas Reddy who had allegedly raped and killed a minor girl.

The body of 14-year-old girl studying ninth class who had gone missing since Thursday was found next day on Friday in the abandoned well.

The police, investigating the minor’s death, on Monday discovered the skeletal remains of another young woman, suspected to be that of Manisha, also a resident of Hajipur village who had gone missing since March 15 this year.

Police officials said they suspect that the remains found on Monday were those of 18-year-old degree student Tipraboina Manisha.
She was pursuing B Com at KLR Degree College at Keesara and did not return home after going to college on March 15.

Though the girl did not return home, her father, Tipraboina Mallesh, and the rest of the family chose not to file a complaint with the police as they believed that she had probably eloped with her boyfriend, police said.

However, on Monday, as news about the remains of a second girl being found in the well spread like a wild fire in the area, Manisha’s father Mallesh lodged a complaint at Bommalaramaram police station saying his daughter had been missing since March 15.

The irate villagers on Tuesday set fire accused Srinivas house in which the pandal which erected before house was fully gutted in the fire.
