Jaipur: A mob outside Jaipur court attacked the two killers of Udaipur tailor Kanhaiya Lal and ripped their clothes but the police quickly put them into a waiting van.

Riaz Akhtari and Gos Mohammad killed Kanhaiya Lal in his shop on June 28 and released the video of the murder online saying that they were avenging an insult to Islam.

They later posted another video threatening Prime Minister Narendra Modi and bragging about the murder.

The duo was arrested hours after the crime and later, two more people, who were allegedly involved in the recce of Kanahaiya's shop were arrested.

All the four accused were produced before a National Investigation Agency (NIA) court in Jaipur today.

Amid heavy police deployment, lawyers shouted slogans "Pakistan Murdabad" and "Kanhaiya ke hatyaron ko fansi do" (give death sentence to Kanhaiya's killers).

The court granted the NIA custody of the killers till July 12.

Days before Kanahiya Lal was killed, he had informed the local police that he had received threats over a social media post shared from his account, apparently "supporting" former BJP leader Nupur Sharma's remark on Prophet Mohammed.

Meanwhile on Saturday, Home Minister Amit Shah ordered the anti-terror agency NIA to probe the murder of a chemist in Maharashtra's Amravati after it emerged it might be linked to his social media posts supporting Nupur Sharma.
