Srinagar: More than two months after the Centre abrogated Article 370, the Jammu and Kashmir government on Monday restored all postpaid mobile phone facilities.

The internet facilities are yet to be restored.

The restrictions were imposed on Aug 4, a day before the Narendra Modi government took the historic step of doing away with the Jammu and Kashmir's special status by abrogating Articles 370 and 35A.

The government had earlier said restrictions on movement in 99 per cent of Jammu and Kashmir was lifted and media was also allowed to work through media centre equipped with all facilities.

Also the travel advisory has also been lifted in the valley.

The Jammu and Kashmir administration had earlier said the political leaders of the valley including former Chief Ministers, Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti, who have been kept under house arrest, will be released phase wise.
