Modi govt is committed to resolving NE issues, BJP national President Nadda say in Nagaland

Kohima, Sep 16 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party National president Jagat Prakash Nadda has said that the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was committed to resolve all disputes in the North Eastern Region.

Addressing a rally at Old Riphyim Village under Wokha district of Nagaland on Thursday, BJP President Nadda said, the NDA Government has invested thousands of crores of rupees in the region for infrastructure development, while work on connecting all North-Eastern State Capitals with rail network was continuing.

He also said work on connecting the North-Eastern State Capitals with four-lane highways, all the district headquarters with two lane-road and villages with all-weather roads too was progressing rapidly.

Nadda said the signing of various peace accords in Assam, which have transformed the NER into a hub of development and insurgency-free, against infiltration, blockades, drug trafficking and corruptions.

Nadda also paid rich tributes to freedom fighters from Nagaland, who had fought valiantly against the British to protect the people with support of villagers, who had fought for protection of their culture and traditions.

He remembered how Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose had established the first Azad Hind-administered village at Ruzazho in Naga Hills and expressed his gratitude to present tribal leaders of Nagaland for protecting the tribal culture of Nagaland.

Nadda said that crores of BJP workers will involve themselves in ‘Sewa Pakhwada’ from September 17.

He said that many seva programmes relating to health, education and environment will be taken up during Sewa Pakhwada.
