Modi speaks to Afghan President on Kabul attack, condoles deaths

Xi'an, China, May 14 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday spoke to Afghanistan Present Ashraf Ghani conveying his condolences on the loss of 14 lives in Wednesday's terror attack in Kabul.
"Spoke to President Ashraf Ghani and offered condolences on loss of lives due to the Kabul attack.We are one when it comes to fighting terror," Modi, who is on a three-day visit to China, tweets.
 
"President Ashraf Ghani expressed sadness on the unfortunate demise of Indian citizens in the attack in Kabul," he says.
 
Four Indians and an American were among 14 killed when gunmen stormed a guest house in Kabul on Wednesday niht and attacked the inmates, mostly foreigners.

Media reports said a few of the attackers were also killed by Afghan security forces in a gun battle that followed during the seven-hour overnight siege. 

The gunmen attacked the Park Palace guest house in Kabul's Kolola Pushta area at around 8:30 pm local time.
