Monsoon likely to hit Kerala coast tomorrow: Indian Met Department

New Delhi/IBNS: The southwest monsoon is likely to hit over the Kerala coast on Monday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in its latest forecast on Sunday.

"Conditions are likely to become favourable for onset of Southwest Monsoon over Kerala around 31st May 2021," the IMD said in a statement.

Due to strengthening of southerly winds, fairly widespread to widespread rainfall activity with isolated heavy falls very likely over North-eastern states and adjoining East India from Sunday itself.

However, scattered heatwave conditions very likely over West Rajasthan on Sunday.

Isolated heatwave conditions are also likely over East Rajasthan, south Punjab, south Haryana and Vidarbha.
