Mumbai/IBNS: The leading political leaders of the INDIA alliance, who came to Mumbai for the third meeting, Thursday hinted that more political parties will be included to forge a strong front of the opposition against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and win the 2024 general elections.

As many as 63 representatives of 28 political parties from across the country arrived in the city for the two-day meeting starting Thursday.

Speaking on the Indian National Development Inclusive Alliance (INDIA), former Maharashtra minister and Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray said: "The way BJP is targeting us, it shows that they are afraid of the opposition alliance, and we will win. Their hatred is against the country and the Constitution, we won't let them win. BJP does not have any option, but we have many options for Prime Minister's face."

Rashtriya Lok Dal president Jayant Chaudhary said, "Opposition parties will work together to take the country forward. INDIA alliance will grow, and many political parties will join it in the coming time."

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said, "To save the Constitution and democracy in the country, we have come together against the forces of casteism. We have come together to fight the forces that have threatened the Constitution and democracy."

The former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav appealed the countrymen to trust this alliance that will make a great impact on the country's development since the BJP government has betrayed the people.

SP's MP Ram Gopal Yadav targeted Union Minister and Republican Party of India chief Ramdas Athawale and Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati, saying that "these two leaders are no longer important in the country's politics."

Meanwhile, Congress MP Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi have reached Mumbai to attend the third meeting of the INDIA alliance.
