New Delhi, Apr 8 (UNI): Asserting that the manifesto of the BJP for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections reflects the ‘true spirit of democracy’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that the government was moving forward with ‘one mission, one direction’.

Speaking after releasing the BJP ‘Sankalp Patra’ (manifesto) for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the PM said, "the foundation of the BJP ‘Sankalp Patra’ is one mission, one direction. We have set 75 well-defined resolutions in our manifesto that we can fulfill in a time bound manner. We are moving forward with 'one mission, one direction'.’’

The PM said that the NDA Government had strived to make India’s development policies multi-layered.

"We have strived to make our development policies multi-layered. We have also tried to bring in a multi-dimensional aspect to our policies, so that they can be dynamic with respect to what the situation demands,’’he said.

Terming Nationalism and unity as priorities for the government, the PM said, "we have planned out goals that are time-bound and well defined. Nationalism, unity, and security are to be the party's priority for the 2019 election."

Modi said his party and govt if voted to power will take UP a new mission wherein development can be made people's movement.

Making a strong pitch for Swachch Bharat Abhiyan, the PM said that it has yielded success because of people involvement.

"Cleanliness is a "public movement", it cannot be done just by a government. I want to thank the media and the youth for the success of the Swachch Bharat Abhiyan," Modi said.

Alleging that the the work that had to be done by previous governments, was "left to him to do", the PM said,’’the success and experience that the last five years provided have inspired the manifesto for the 2019 election.’’

"Good, easy, accountable, responsible governance has been our motto. The NDA Government is committed to good governance. We have used technology to help benefits and welfare schemes percolate right to the bottom," the PM said.

Making a pitch for his re-election, Mr Modi said. "by 2047, which will be 100 years of Independence, it is my dream that India is established as a developed country. The foundation for that dream are the coming five years, the duration between 2019 to 2024.’’
