Mufti Mohammad Sayeed slams National Conference-Congress coalition
PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed reiterated his commitment that his party would give adequate representation to all sections of the society.
With bells for the Assembly polls already being ringing, Mufti took the present coalition regime to task for completely ignoring religious minorities like Sikhs and Kashmiri Pandits during the last six years.
He especially mentioned that Sikhs and KPs were given due representation in the government as well as in the Legislature.
Mufti said that the PDP will work to ensure adequate representation of minorities in all public positions to empower all communities.
"We have appealed to all our friends from minority community in mountainous region of Reasi to support the PDP so that we can fulfill the
promises made by them", he said, adding, "We are committed to set a new system in J&K where every section would be politically empowered".
Slamming the NC-Congress regime for making cruel joke with refugees by approving a package at the fag end of the government, Mufti assured that the PDP would take a concrete step for on-time settlement of problems faced by refugees.
Pointing towards problems being faced by the residents of border areas, Mufti promised that PDP would conduct on spot recruitment camps
in the border areas.
"We will not adopt pick and choose policies like the present regime to conduct on spot recruitment. We will give priority to the deserving areas", he assured and reminded that during PDP led regime government reached to the door steps of border people to
address their grievances.
"You are the worst victim of the hostility between India and Pakistan", he told border people while regretted recent loss of lives
and properties in recent border skirmishes.
"Through its peace and reconcialatory policies, the PDP would take effective steps to ensure restoration of lasting peace on the borders", he said and reminded the gathering it was only during the PDP led regime that there was complete calm on the borders from Kathua to Kargil.
