Mumbai/IBNS: A Mumbai man recently paying Rs. 61,000 on a date at The Godfather's Club in Mumbai's Andheri West has brought a major scam to light.

A post shared by Deepika Narayan on X has revealed a big scam which is prevailing in Mumbai as well as some other top tier cities.

According to the X post, the scam begins on popular dating apps like Tinder, Bumble, Hinge and OKCupid.

In the dating apps, women express their interest in dating men and the location is often finalised to be The Godfather's Club or some others in the locality.

The women on the date generally order expensive items like high-end liquor, hookah.

The men, out of maintaining self-respect and bid to impress the women, agree to it without any knowledge of the trap.

When it comes to payment, the women used to leave the date abruptly forcing the men to face a bill of huge amounts of money.

The amount of the bill ranges from Rs. 23,000 to Rs. 61,000.

When the men refuse to pay the bills, they are threatened by the club staff or bouncers.

As a result, they are left with no other choice other than paying the bills to avoid humiliation.

Not just in Mumbai, similar incidents have been reported from other cities like Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad.
