Mumbai, July 3 (IBNS):  The Mumbai suburban local train service was badly hit on Tuesday after a part of the foot overbridge collapsed on railway tracks close to the Andheri station in Mumbai on Tuesday,  officials said.

The cause of the collapse is suspected to be heavy rain.

Western Railways tweeted: "Part of Road Over Bridge collapsed on tracks near Andheri Station on South end towards Vile Parle . OHE damaged. Traffic on all lines is held up. #WRUpdates @drmbct."

No injuries have been reported so far.

Commuters have been facing troubles as local train service came to standstill in the route following the mishap.
