Naidu happy with Rahul's U turn on RSS statement

New Delhi, Aug 25 (IBNS): Union Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu on Thursday lauded Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi for his 'U turn' on RSS statement and said that 'wisdom has prevailed' on the Gandhi scion.

Gandhi had earlier blamed the RSS for the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi and had refused to apologise after the right wing organisation demanded apology.

However, in an interesting turn of events, the Gandhi scion told the Supreme Court on Wednesday that he did not blame the organisation but people associated with it.

"Good, Rahul finally admitted before Supreme Court that the RSS is not accused in assassination of Mahatma Gandhi," Naidu said welcoming Rahul's new stand.

"Wisdom has prevailed. It may be a U turn but a good turn.RSS a patriotic organization.RSS- Ready for Selfless Service anywhere any time," he added.
