Kolkata, July 12 (UNI) The CBI today questioned former OSD of former mayor Sovan Chatterjee and two other officials attached to the Kolkata Municipal Corporation's VIP Corridor during 2014-2019.

Former Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Amlan Lahiri and two KMC officials - Dindayal Singh and Priyajit Ghosh- were today seen at CBI's Nizam Palace office in the city in response to Central investigating agency's summons in relations to Narada sting in which purported TV clippings showed former mayor Shovan Chatterjee, accompanied by his deputy Iqbal Ahmed, using VIP Corridor before moving to his chamber.

Journalist Samuel Mathew, who conducted the sting operation, was also recently quizzed by the CBI.

The CBI filed an FIR naming altogether 12 politicians of ruling TMC including ministers, MPs, MLAs and one IPS officer SMH Mirza, who was also recently quizzed both by CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED).

Sources said the CBI had summoned the former OSD and three others KMC officials to record their statement as eye witnesses and if they could identify voice recorded in the sting operation at the KMC complex.

Kerala Mathew Samuel claimed all the politicians took wads of notes for providing certain benefits.

The CBI sent notice to present mayor Firhad Hakim requesting him to cooperate in the investigation requiring to question certain KMC officials attached to the VIP Corridor on the day of sting operation conducted by Mathew.
