Narendra Modi to visit Aurangabad on Sept 7
Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Sep 4 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to come here on September 7 so as to dedicate the Phase I of the Aurangabad Industrial City (AURIC) to this district.
PM Modi will be flanked by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis as well as several ministers.
Elaborate security and event arrangements are in full swing; with 33,000 sq meter pavilion being erected opposite to the Perkins company.
High-ranking officials, including Inspector General of Police Ravinder Singal, Collector Uday Chaudhari, Superintendent of Police (Rural) Mokshada Patil, surveyed the spot to take a stock of the ongoing works.
A total of 2,500 cops; 500 senior personnel and 2,000 junior sleuths, will be keeping a hawk eye around the spot on the day of event.
The mega event is expecting around one lakh women, from self-help groups, coming from all over Maharashtra in 2,000 especially-deployed buses.
Strategically located at the Shendra and Bidkin, the AURIC is a futuristic 7-storey infrastructure spread across 10,000 acres and equipped with modern technologies.
Part of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), the AURIC have been jointly developed by the state and centre on fund ratio of 51:49.
The AURIC has divided its' land in the ratio of 60:40, where the former land space is meant for industrial sector and the latter will make residential as well as other civic amenities.
After the event, PM Modi will depart for Mumbai and then to Nagpur so as to inaugurate various developmental works at both these places.
