NCP leader Bhaskar Jadhav resigns, set to join Shiv Sena
Aurangabad, Sept 13 (UNI): Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader from Konkan region and former Maharashtra minister Bhaskar Jadhav submitted his resignation to state Assembly Speaker Haribhau Bagade on Friday.
Jadhav, who landed by special aircraft from Ratnagiri to Chiklathana airport here accompanying with Shiv Sena senior leaders Anil Parab and Milind Narvekar, was welcomed by former MP Chandrakant Khaire, MLC Ambadas Danve among others office bearers.
Jadhav met Bagade and submitted his resignation.
Talking to the media after his resignation, Jadhav said that 'I have submitted my resignation to Mr Bagade and I will going to join sena later in day and will accept any responsibility given by Mr Thaceray.'
Jadhav is likely to contest on Guhagar Assembly constituency seat on Sena ticket in upcoming Assembly election.
Several senior leaders from the opposition NCP and Congress have recently joined the ruling BJP and Shiv Sena in the state.
Jadhav started his political career with Shiv Sena but later switched over to the Sharad Pawar-led NCP party.
In 2009, he served as a minister in Congress-NCP led state government.
The state Assembly polls are due in October.
