New MP Smriti Irani begins her work to develop healthcare in Amethi as constituency gets eight new ambulances
New Delhi, June 17 (IBNS): Bharatiya Janata Party's newly elected MP from Amethi seat Smriti Irani has already started working to strengthen the health service in the constituency which was once considered as a Gandhi bastion.
The Amethi seat in Uttar Pradesh, which was once represented by Congress president Rahul Gandhi until Smriti defeated her in the recently held polls, received eight new ambulances.
Giving relief to people of the seat, the ambulances have been supplied by the Uttar Pradesh Health Ministry led by Siddharth Nath Singh.
He said the move was made after Smriti requested to strengthen the healthcare services in the seat.
Singh said the newly added ambulances will reduce waiting time for emergency services to 15 to 20 minutes.
"Union Minister Smt @smritiirani after being elected from Amethi has been requesting for improving & strengthening the health services in Amethi. I am happy to inform that today we delivered 8 new 108 ambulances which will reduce waiting time to 15-20 mins," Singh tweeted.
