| | Nov 08, 2015, at 05:31 pm
New Delhi, Nov 8 (IBNS) BJP leader Chandan Mitra on Sunday said that his party does not harbour any anti Dalit sentiments, after his party accepted defeat in the Bihar polls.
"There is absolutely no anti Dalit policy in BJP," Mitra said.

When asked about the Pakistan comment of BJP president Amit Shah ahead of polls during campaigning when the latter said a win for Nitish would be cause of jubilation in the neighbouring country, he said, "I think the comment have been blown out of proportion."

Mitra accepted that the BJP led central government should have been a bit more firmer in tackling the Dadri issues.

"The Government should have been a bit more firmer as far as tacking the Dadri incident."

As the counting of the votes progressed , the Nitish Kumar-Lalu Prasad Yadav alliance is leading in as many as 153 seats of the 243-member house.

The NDA, led by Narendra Modi's BJP, is leading in 76 seats so far.
