New Delhi/IBNS: The Indian Army has made a video honouring the valour and extreme courage of the soldiers of Bihar regiment and remembered their bravery 21 years ago in Kargil War.

"The Saga of #DhruvaWarriors and The Lions of #BiharRegiment. 'Born to fight. They are not the bats. They are the Batman'."

"After every #Monday, there will be a #Tuesday. Bajrang Bali Ki Jai," the Northern Command tweeted.

"Bajrang Bali Ki Jai" is the war cry of the soldiers of the Bihar regiment when their soldiers hit the battlefield to take on their enemies.

"It was the same month, 21 years ago. Bihar regiment gave a bloody nose to the Kargil intruders. They were on heights too and were they prepared. They went with guts and came back with glory," says Major Akhil Pratap, who gave the background voice in the powerful video in the 1 minute 57 second video which traces some of the most formidable missions taken by the Regiment from 1857 to 1999, when the 1st Battalion of Bihar Regiment drove the Pakistani Army out of a strategic area in Kargil July 6-7, 1999.

In the video the army also pays tribute to Galwan Valley martyr Colonel Santosh Babu.

Colonel Babu, was the commanding officer of the 16 Bihar Regiment posted at the Ladakh region where the violent face off took place when the Chinese Army intruded into the Indian territory at the Galwan valley. He was among the 12 soldiers of the Regiment who laid down their lives in the line of duty on the intervening night of June 15 and 16.

The Bihar Regiment has been the part of  India's UN peacekeeping operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Somalia.
