Novel Coronavirus: 2,421 people in Kerala are under observation
Thiruvananthapuram/UNI: Even though there no new positive cases of Novel Coronavirus reported in Kerala till Tuesday, about 2,421 people are placed under surveillance in the state.
Health Department sources on Wednesday said, of which, 100 are in the isolation wards in different hospitals across the state.
"Out of 190 blood samples, 118 were sent to the Virology Institute in Alappuzha. The results of 100 blood samples are tested negative. We are also awaiting the lab reports from the National Institute of Virology in Pune where the blood samples of some people were sent," the sources said.
Meanwhile, Health Minister KK Shailaja urged the Centre to provide more funds for setting up facilities in health centres to control the spread of deadly Novel Coronavirus in Kerala where three people, arrived from China, are tested positive to the deadly disease.
The Minister also directed to probe into the missing of two persons, who had returned to Kerala from China on January 15 and flew abroad on Sunday with out informing the health department officials.
