NSA of India, Pakistan meet in Bangkok

Bangakok/New Delhi, Dec 6 (IBNS) The National Security Advisors of India and Pakistan met in Bangkok on Sunday, officials said.

Discussions between the two sides covered peace and security, terrorism, Jammu and Kashmir, and other issues, including tranquility along the LoC.

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and his Pakistani counterpart Nasir Janjua held talks, days after Indian PM Narendra Modi and his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif met in  French capital Paris.

"Pursuant to the meetings of the Prime Ministers of India and Pakistan in Paris, the National Security Advisers, accompanied by the Foreign Secretaries, met in Bangkok today. Discussions were held in a candid, cordial and constructive atmosphere.They were guided by the vision of the two leaders for a peaceful stable and prosperous South Asia," the MEA said in a statement on Sunday's meeting.

"It was agreed to carry forward the constructive engagement," read the statement.
