Odisha: Maoist involved in murder of TDP MLA held by police

Koraput , Apr 27 (UNI) Koraput police today arrested hardcore Maoist Jayaram Khilla of Tala Kandapali village under Padwa police station limits.

According to police, Khilla was involved in three major cases in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh in the past there years.

He was involved in the killing of TDP Araku MLA K Rao and former MLA S. Soma in Livtiputtu village under Araku police station last year, killing of Hatibari sarpanch in 2017 and torching of excavator machines in Padwa areas in the same year.

Koraput SP K V Sing said the militia would be handed over to the NIA for further interrogation in connection with the killing of TDP leaders in Araku.
The police today forwarded him to Koraput court amidst tight security.
