Mumbai, July 3 (IBNS): An Oman Air flight from here to Muscat returned shortly after takeoff and made an emergency landing at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport after one of its engines failed, media reports said.

Oman Air flight WY204 experienced the engine failure barely 10 minutes after taking off. A full emergency was declared and the aircraft landed safely around 5pm.

Reports said 205 passengers were on board the aircraft and no casualties have been reported yet.

Mumbai airport is experiencing major problems and not functioning to its full capacity because of the heavy rain. The main runway has been shut since Monday night.
