Only PM Modi and BJP can protect India’s border: Amit Shah
Guwahati, Mar 28 (IBNS): BJP national president Amit Shah on Thursday said that only Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP-led government can protect India’s border and national security.
Addressing an election rally held at Kaliabor in central Assam’s Nagaon district, Amit Shah, who was campaigning for BJP’s ally party Asom Gana Parishad (AGP)’s candidate Moni Madhav Mahanta, contesting from the Kaliabor Lok Sabha seat, said that, Congress ruled in the Centre for 10 years, but they were silent while the terrorist came from Pakistan and took away the head of our brave jawan.
“Following the Uri attack, the Modi-government had given a bold reply and conducted surgical strike. Following the Pulawama terror attack, the Modi-government has given another reply to Pakistan by conducting air-strikes. India is now listed with America and Israel. But Rahul Baba and his party and other parties questioned about the air-strike and are demanding prove. If the country's border is to be protected then Congress can’t do it. Only Prime Minister Narendra Modi can protect India’s border,” Amit Shah said.
The BJP national president said that Tarun Gogoi has been forced to fall in the leg of Badruddin Ajmal to secure his son win.
“They (Congress) will not protect the nation,” Shah said.
Amit Shah promised to deport all illegal immigrants from Assam if the BJP and PM Narendra Modi return to power.
“The illegal immigrants had encroached the land in Kaziranga and the Congress gave them safeguard for only vote bank. But when BJP came to power in Assam, the government has started a drive against the encroachers,” Amit Shah said.
He further said that Congress didn’t take any initiative to implement Clause 6 of the Assam Accord.
“But the BJP-led government under the leadership of PM Modi has taken initiative to implement Clause 6 and it will complete in forthcoming years,” Amit Shah said.
The BJP national president said that the Modi-government had given Rs 3 lakh crore to Assam in last five years for development of the state.
