New Delhi/UNI: Several opposition parties including Congress will continue to raise their demand for a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) over the Adani Group issue in the ongoing Budget session of the Parliament.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the Opposition parties held at the chamber of Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge in the Parliament building.

Apprising about the meeting, Congress Rajya Sabha MP Jairam Ramesh, who was also present, tweeted, "Most Opposition parties have decided to participate in Parliamentary proceedings from today and continue to raise their demand for a JPC into the PM-linked Adani Maha Mega Scam."

A total of 15 parties including DMK, SP, AAP and NCP attended the meeting on Tuesday.

The Hindenburg Research report had alleged that Adani Group had engaged in stock manipulation and accounting fraud schemes over the course of decades.
