New Delhi/IBNS: A Paytm employee, who returned from Italy recently, is the latest victim of the deadly Coronavirus, leading the e-wallet company to shutdown its Gurgaon office for two days.

This is the 29th Coronavirus case in India, media reports said.

The Paytm employee has recently returned to India after a trip to Italy. The company has asked its staff to work from home.

The virus spread took a giant leap after 15 Italian tourists tested positive with the disease while travelling to India's Rajasthan.

An Indian driver travelling with the 23-member Italian tourist team has tested positive as well.

Fourteen of the 15 infected Italian tourists have been quarantined in Delhi.

One of them is in Jaipur who along with his wife tested positive with the virus.

Six family members of the Delhi-based man, who had tested positive for novel coronavirus, have been also infected by the deadly virus, Union Health Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

The Delhi-based man had gone to Agra to meet his family after returning from Vienna, said reports

Meanwhile, stepping up the preventive measure, the Indian government stated that all passengers from all incoming flights would be screened not just visitors from Italy, Iran, South Korea and Japan.

More than 5 lakh people have already been screened.

Only diplomats and other officials from international bodies are exempted.

The Union Health Ministry has reiterated its advise for people to not travel to China, Iran, South Korea and Italy. It has also asked all citizens to avoid non-essential travel to other affected nations.

The Union health ministry has also issued an advisory for schools, directing that large gatherings be avoided.

Anyone -- staff or student -- who has travelled to a COVID-19 affected country in the last 28 days should be home quarantined for 14 days, the advisory said.

Besides the Paytm employee, the other 28 confirmed cases of coronavirus include 15 Italian nationals who had come for holidaying in Rajasthan, their Indian driver, Delhi-based man who went to Vienna and his six family members in Agra, one person in Hyderabad who had travelled to Dubai on an assignment, and three medical students who study in Wuhan but have now recovered.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said he held an extensive meeting over Coronavirus and also asked people not to panic.

The Prime Minister had tweeted, "Had an extensive review regarding preparedness on the COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus. Different ministries & states are working together, from screening people arriving in India to providing prompt medical attention."

"There is no need to panic. We need to work together, take small yet important measures to ensure self-protection."

Earlier on Wednesday, he also declared to not take part in any Holi gatherings this year.

The Prime Minister tweeted, "Experts across the world have advised to reduce mass gatherings to avoid the spread of COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus. Hence, this year I have decided not to participate in any Holi Milan programme."

Many other Indian politicians including President Ram Nath Kovind have also made similar statements.

Coronavirus, which had originated in China's Wuhan late last year, has already spread to over 60 countries with Italy becoming the new hub of the outbreak.

More than 3,000 people have died in China and over 90,000 have been infected with the disease.

The aviation industry is the worst hit as the virus is spreading to other countries through air travel.

On Wednesday, German airline Lufthansa decided to ground its 150-aircraft fleet.

The virus spreads by respiratory droplets generated when an infected person coughs or sneezes. The clinical manifestation of the virus are fever, cough and cold and in severe cases difficulty in breathing.
