New Delhi/UNI: The students of Jamia Millia Islamia University, along with other students and locals of the adjoining areas protesting outside the Jamia campus on Wednesday were seen in the spirit of Christmas, as some of them dressed up as Santas, while the demonstration went on peacefully.

Alongside their protest, the agitators greeted their Christian brethren, thus spreading the message of love and brotherhood.

Students were seen flaunting banners and posters with Christmas greetings, while they also decorated the protest site, in view of the festival.

According to a protestor, "This is the spirit of the nation, this is how we all live together, we have always been and will continue to co-exist."

The protests in the area are continuing since December 15, after the agitation against the CAA and NRC took a violent turn, leading to injuries to the students and policemen.

The protests began in the morning and went on till evening, after which, the agitators dispersed.
