People trust only BJP to provide stable govt: Modi in Bokaro

Bokaro/UNI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that people trust only BJP to provide stable and permanent government.

Addressing an election rally in Sector 5 Library grounds here while stumping for the party candidates in the fray in the fourth phase of elections in the state, the Prime Minister said that results of the by-polls in Karnataka have given three clear messages that people want stable and permanent government.

Taking on the Congress, which conceded defeat in the Karnataka by-polls on Monday, he said people only trust BJP to provide permanent and stable governments and when people take revenge no room for escape is left, he said.

Referring to the huge turnout at the venue, he said the crowd presence clearly indicated the direction of the wind.

He said that in the by-polls of Karnataka many heavyweights have been defeated and BJP has toppled Congress in seats which it had never won after independence.

Attacking the JMM, Congress and RJD coalition, Modi said the Congress will not learn even after the debacle and continue to preside over the corrupt government.

He said the state has witnessed the JMM-Congress government and all they did was build huge buildings.

On the contrary, he said, the BJP government in the state used the Rs 5,000 crore fund to set up district mineral fund and the money is being used to lay water pipelines to households and construct schools and hospitals.

The Prime Minister said that JMM and Congress never thought Jharkand's natural and mineral resources could be used for the betterment of the natives, though its wealth has helped in the development of the nation.

He said that the BJP government in Jharkhand has broken the network of corruption in the last five years. People do not need to approach any one to get the homes being constructed under PMAY. Women in Jharkhand were also given big relief as property in their name is being registered at just Re 1.

Attacking the Congress, JMM and the Left parties he said that their alliance is against employment generation and alleged that Congress and its allies run the industry of extortion, violence and 'goondagardi' as they have the mastery in such works.

Modi said that in the last few months the small industries have got loans worth Rs 70,000 crore from the government banks which will ultimately create employment for the people.

The Prime Minister said that Jharkhand is now rapidly moving towards becoming free from the Maoists. Before 2014 only one of two Maoists surrendered in the state but now large number of ultras are joining the mainstream, he added.

He said that for decades the Congress and its allies have encouraged the Maoists and political instability in Jharkhand which prevented the state from having its remote areas linked with internet.

Modi said that the state government has also accorded importance to development of air and water connectivity in the state and said that industries and trade of Jharkhand are getting the benefits of nation's first inland waterway from Benaras to Haldia.

Bokaro is among the 16 seats where polls will be held in the fourth phase on December 16.
