PM greets nation on Buddha Purnima

New Delhi, May 21 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, greeted the people of India on the occasion of Buddha Purnima.

"Greetings on Buddha Purnima," the PM tweeted.

"Gautam Buddha's noble teaching have impacted millions of people over centuries. he is the epitome of Knowledge, peace and compassion," he added.

The Prime Minister also urged for a just society.

"May his teachings continue to inspire us to create a peaceful and just society," he said. 

Buddha Purnima is observed by the Buddhist community across the globe.
