Patna/UNI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated an LPG pipeline and two LPG projects, and reiterated his commitment for the development of Eastern India and Bihar where Assembly Elections are slated for October-November this year.

Mr Modi, after inaugurating online Durgapur-Banka section of LPG pipeline and two LPG bottling plants at Banka and East Champaran, said in his speech through video conferencing that his government was committed for development of Bihar and Eastern India.

The Prime minister recalled that he had been saying since long that India could never become a  developed country unless development was ensured in Bihar and the Eastern part of India.

Mr Modi said that LPG projects, which were inaugurated today, were completed in stipulated time frame despite difficulties posed by coronavirus pandemic.

Projects worth crores of rupees would certainly help in accelerating Bihar's pace of development and a large number of local people would
also get employment, he added.

The Prime Minister said that gas-based  economy in Bihar would pick up after the completion of ongoing LPG projects in the state.

Even during Corona pandemic, the pace of growth in Bihar continued unabated and people of the state continued to work in this difficult phase, which was really appreciable, he noted.
