PM Modi arrives Kazakhstan on second leg of five-nation tour
Kazakhstan Prime Minister Karim Massimov received him at the airport in Astana, the country's capital, reports said.
"I am happy to be in Kazakhstan, India's very valued friend in Central Asia," Modi said in a tweet.
He also shared an image of him and his Kazakh counterpart.
"Thank you PM Karim Massimov for the memorable welcome," he added.
Modi is currently on a visit to the five Central Asian nations of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, as well as Russia, where he will participate in the BRICS and SCO Summit.
A high-level FICCI delegation, representing sectors like construction, pharmaceuticals, mining, banking, power transmission and IT, has accompanied him on his visit.
Top Indian companies are being represented in the business delegation.
