PM Modi congratulates newly elected Nepal PM KP Sharma Oli, invites him to visit India

Kathmandu/New Delhi, Oct 11 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday called new PM of Nepal KP Sharma Oli and invited him to visit India.

Modi also congratulated him for being elected as the new PM of neighbouring nation.

"PM @narendramodi spoke to Shri KP Oli and congratulated him on being elected as the PM of Nepal," PMO India tweeted.

"During their conversation, PM @narendramodi invited Shri KP Oli to visit India," it said.

The Legislature-Parliament elected CPN-UML Chairman Oli as the new PM.

He got the support from 338 lawmakers and defeated PM Sushil Koirala  by 89 votes.
