PM Modi greets Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his birthday

New Delhi, Dec 25 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday greeted former PM and veteran BJP leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his birthday.

PM Modi said, "Birthday greetings to our beloved Atal ji. We salute this great personality who provided exceptional leadership to India at a crucial time."

Modi spoke about the crucial role that Vajpayee played during his tenure as a party leader.

"Be it as a party leader, Parliamentarian, Minister, Prime Minister, Atal ji distinguished himself in every role. This is his speciality."

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister also greeted late political leader and educationalist Madan Mohan Malaviya on his birth anniversary.

He said, "On Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya's birth anniversary, we remember with pride his long lasting contribution to our Nation."

Drawing a link between Malaviya and Vajpayee, Modi said, "A Poem by Atal ji in 1946, published in 'Abhudaya' a Weekly established by Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya."
