PM Modi meets Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena
Speaking on the bilateral talks, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) official spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin said that both India and Sri Lanka are committed to take matters of civil nuclear cooperation forward.
"India-Sri Lanka discuss 4 agreements as Prez Sirisena & PM @narendramodi meet at Hyderabad House in New Delhi," Akbaruddin tweeted.
He said both leaders discuss measures to enhance economic ties.
"India-Sri Lanka delegations exchange views on enhancing bilateral ties over a working lunch," he tweeted.
He said India-Sri Lanka leaders set to give new direction to ties.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj earlier called on Sirisena.
