PM Modi praises Bihar CM for the liquor ban in state

Patna, Jan 5 (TheBiharPost/IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday praised Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar for enforcing alcohol ban in the state.

“Bringing social change is a difficult task. Despite that, Nitish Kumar has launched a campaign against alcoholism in the state. I really appreciate him for this effort,” Modi said.


He made these observations while addressing the concluding day function of the Prakash Parv at Patna’s Gandhi Maidan organized to commemorate the 350th birth anniversary of the 10th Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh.

The PM also commended the chief minister for the splendid arrangements for the Prakash Parv.

In his address, Kumar also referred to how Modi as the chief minister of Gujarat too had effectively implemented the liquor ban in the state.

He said the country would prosper if quit all forms of intoxication.
