PM Modi to visit Aurangabad today
Aurangabad: Prime Minister Modi will visit Aurangabad as well as Mumbai on Saturday for the inauguration of some developmental works in these cities.
However, the PM's Nagpur visit scheduled by this evening has been postponed due heavy downpour in Nagpur's Vidarbha region, sources said.
Modi will reach Mumbai from Bengaluru this morning and will inaugurate number of developmental works.
He will arrive to Chikalthana airport around 1345 hours from Mumbai and will fly to venue of Aurangabd Industrial City (AURIC) by chopper which will land at 1400 hours at Shendra MIDC area of venue.
He will dedicate first phase to the works of AURIC and inaugurate AURIC modernise hall of DMIC project at Shendra MIDC area.
After the function of inauguration, Modi will address a state-level Mahila Saksham Melava (empowered women’s meet) of Self Help Groups, being organised by Maharashtra State Rural and development. Nearly one lakh women from self-help groups are likely to be present at the rally near Parkin company at same location, said State Women & Child Welfare Minister Pankaja Munde-Palve.
State Governor Bhagat Singh Kosiyari and State chief minister Devendra Fadanvis will be chief guest of the function.
While Union Ministers Piyush Goyal, Raosaheb Danve, State Assembly Speaker Haribhau Bagade, state ministers Eknath Shinde, Subhash Desai, Pankaja Munde, Atul Save, Vidhya Thakur and Dada Bhise will also be present on the occasion, she added.
Shendra MIDC area has been covered with heavy security on the PM's visit.
