Police officer among two killed in Bihar road mishap

Rajgir, Jun 2 (UNI): Two people including a police officer were killed following a collision between two pick-up vans under Ekangarsarai police station area in Bihar's Nalanda district in the wee hours on Sunday.

Police said here that a pick-up van driver Sanjeet Rai was killed on the spot when he lost control over his vehicle hitting police sub-inspector Ashok Paswan (41) and later ramming into a shop.

Sources said the mishap took place when the pick-up van collided with another van in high collision at Ekangarsarai roundabout.

Police said Paswan who sustained serious injuries in the mishap was admitted to a local hospital where he died during treatment.

The police officer was posted at Ekangarsarai police station.

The deceased pick-up van driver was a native of Bidupur police station area in Vaishali district.

The bodies had been sent for autopsy.
