Poll violence: 13 injured in West Bengal
Since morning of the polling day also reports of disturbances are pouring in.
At least 13 people were reportedly injured in a clash between workers of the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI-M) at Haroa in North 24 Parganas district on Monday.
According to TMC workers, CPI-M supporters pelted stones at them and attacked them with lathis near two polling booths at Brahmanchak area of Haroa.
In some booths polling agents were beaten up, said reports. Tension even prevailed in Dum Dum area of Kolkata.
Violence was reported from different parts of West Bengal, including Kolkata, on Sunday as well. Several opposition party members were allegedly attacked by the TMC though the latter denied the charges.
In West Bengal, polling is being held in 17 seats, including South and North Kolkata seats. Fates of 188 candidates will be sealed in the state by voters in the final phase of the polling.
