Prashant Kishor questions 21-day-lockdown to check coronavirus spread
New Delhi/IBNS: Political strategist Prashant Kishor has questioned the 21-day-lockdown to fight the spread of coronavirus in the country arguing that the move does not have scientific backing.
Taking to his twitter handle, Kishor said the 21-day-lockdown was too long a time and added that there is no scientific proof that in the absence of adequate testing, isolation & treatment measures” the step would arrest the spread of the contagion.
He raised doubts about the authorities' preparedness to deal with the COVID-19 crisis as “shaky” and said a badly executed lockdown could destroy lives destroy life & livelihood of millions.
Decision to #lockdownindia maybe right but 21 days might a bit too long. But then this is the price one pays for being behind the curve.
