President of India’s message to the government and people of Iran on the eve of Nouroz

New Delhi, Mar 20 (IBNS): President of India Pranab Mukherjee, on Monday, extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the eve of Nouroz (March 21, 2017).

In a message to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Hassan Rouhani,  the Indian President said, “On the occasion of Nouroz, I extend warm greetings and best wishes to you, the Government and the friendly people of Islamic Republic of Iran.

The close friendship and cooperation between India and Iran are built on historical, civilisational and cultural ties spanning more than two millennia. In modern times, our bilateral relations are defined by close and multifaceted cooperation in diverse fields. We look forward to developing our mutually beneficial partnership to greater heights in the coming years."
