Priyanka Gandhi holds roadshow in Indore

| @indiablooms | May 13, 2019, at 09:34 pm

Indore, May 13 (UNI): Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra held a roadshow here on her maiden political visit to Madhya Pradesh.

Thousands of party workers took part in the programme in the state's commercial capital.

Prior to commencing the event with chief minister Kamal Nath, she garlanded a statue of former PM Indira Gandhi.

Vadra was in an open vehicle along with the Congress’ Indore parliamentary constituency candidate Pankaj Sanghvi and the procession – which commenced at Tory Corner – negotiated narrow streets to conclude at Rajwada.

Interestingly, former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi and Congress president Rahul Gandhi had also staged roadshows along the same route earlier.

Rahul Gandhi did so during the 2018 Assembly elections.
