Priyanka Gandhi likely to revisit Sonbhadra later this week

Lucknow, July 23 (UNI): Indian National Congress general secretary of eastern Uttar Pradesh Priyanka Gandhi is likely to revisit Sonbhadra this week to hand over the compensation cheques of Rs 10 lakh to the aggrieved families, sources in party said on Tuesday.

Priyanka's visit to Sonbhadra last week created a political storm in the state as she was earlier prevented and detained by the administration, however later allowed to meet the family members of victims who were killed and injured in firing allegedly by village head and his associated over land dispute claiming 10 lives.

During her visit, she announced a compensation for Rs 10 lakh for the family members of the victims.
