Chandigarh, June 19 (IBNS): Following the steps taken by Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra governments, Punjab Chief Minster Amarinder Singh announced crop loan waiver for small and marginal farmers across the state, according to media reports on Monday.

The state government also said that they would provide more than two lakhs loans to around 1.5 marginal farmers.

In this year, the BJP government of Uttar Pradesh waived the loans of farmers immediately after coming to power, followed by the decision taken by Maharashtra Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis.
