Rahul Gandhi compares Congress' Genuine Simple Tax to Modi's Gabbar Singh Tax

New Delhi, Oct 24 (IBNS): Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi has once again took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying the Congress' GST means "Genuine Simple Tax" while the one launched by the PM this year is "Gabbar Singh Tax".

Ridiculing the GST implemented by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led central government for the second consecutive day, Gandhi tweeted on Tuesday: "Congress GST= Genuine Simple Tax Modi ji's GST= Gabbar Singh Tax =''ये कमाई मुझे दे दे."

Gabbar was the name of the villain in Bollywood's blockbuster movie 'Sholay'.

Gandhi, while addressing a rally in Gujarat on Monday, had said the GST has badly hit  lakhs of small traders in the country.

"This GST is not GST. It is Gabbar Singh Tax," Gandhi  had said.

Gandhi, who is currently campaigning in Gujarat, even hit the Centre over its decision of banning old Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 currency notes last year.

Amid the sensation following the allegation of bribery that prompted a Patidar leader to quit BJP, Rahul Gandhi addressed a OBC rally on Monday, mocking at Prime Minister Narnedra Modi's 'Make in India' slogan while alleging that unemployment in the country is on steady rise.

Speaking at the rally- Navsarjan Janadesh Mahasammelan'- Gandhi appeared to be bent on taking on Modi on his home turf as he alleged that  despite all tall talks of the BJP, there are 30 lakh unemployed people in Gujarat which is being run by only five entrepreneur  families.
