Patna/New Delhi, July 30 (IBNS): A Delhi court has summoned former Bihar Chief Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad, his wife Rabri Devi and younger son Tejashwi Yadav, in connection to the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Cooperation (IRCTC) scam case, media reports said.

The case, in which Lalu and his family have been accused, pertains to alleged irregularities in granting operational contract of two IRCTC hotels to a private company.

Special judge Arvind Kumar has reportedly directed the three accused to appear before the court on Aug 31.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed chargesheet on Apr 16.

Apart from Lalu and his family, former Union Minister Prem Chand Gupta and his wife Sarla Gupta, then IRCTC managing director BK Agarwal and then IRCTC director Rakesh Saxena have been named in the chargesheet.

Lalu is already serving several years of jail term in fodder scam cases.

He has been lodged in Ranchi's Birsa Munda Central Jail since Dec 23.
