New Delhi, Jan 2 (IBNS): Amid confusion over the number of casualty in the Pathankot attack, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday removed the tweet concerning the death of militants in the incident.

He earlier confirmed that five militants were killed in the attack.

"I congratulate our armed forces and other security forces on successfully neutralising all the five terrorists in 'Pathankot Operation'," Singh tweeted.

Ending a day full of tensions, security forces neutralized terrorists who had attacked Pathankot air force of India in Punjab on Saturday, which claimed the lives of three IAF men.

The attack occurred days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Pakistan and met his counterpart Nawaz Sharif.
