Rashtrapati Bhavan hosts 2nd official reunion of Aides-de-camp (AsDC) to the President of India
The Presidential Service Batch which has now been instituted was also presented by the President to his military staff in Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Addressing the gathering, the President said that it gave him immense pleasure to be present on the occasion of second reunion of Aides de Camp during the thirteenth Presidency.
He welcomed all of them at Rashtrapati Bhavan and said that Aides De Camp to the President of Republic of India is a cherished legacy of Rashtrapati Bhavan, the then Viceroy House, read an official statement.
He said that he was glad to see the military staff associated with former Presidents who were there not only from within the country but across the world.
He thanked each one of them for providing invaluable assistance in day to day activities and during functions at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
He was pleased to see that over the years all the responsibilities shouldered by the military staff have been discharged to perfection.
They all are conversant with administrative, personal and protocol requirements pertaining to the conduct of the President and other visiting dignitaries.
The President said that numerous functions take place at Rashtrapati Bhavan and the military staff carries out their duties with professionalism, swiftness and with a smile on their faces.
The President is the Supreme Commander of the Defence Forces and he is to preserve, protect and uphold the Constitution.
The military staff attached to him provides professional advice, guidance and support.
The President said that he was happy on the introduction of “Presidential Service Badge” for military staff to the President of India in recognition of their meritorious and outstanding service.
