New Delhi, Sep 29 (UNI) Taking a jibe on the Opposition on Jammu and Kashmir Issue, the Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday said that there is no curfew or restriction in Jammu and Kashmir barring eight police stations and the Opposition is spreading misinformation about the state.

Addressing a seminar on National security here, he said “Where are the restrictions? It is only in your mind. There are no restrictions. Only misinformation about restrictions is being spread".

There has been no causality since August 5 and not even a single bullet has been fired in the state.Out of 196 police stations only eight police stations have been under restrictions under 144 in which not more than four people can assembled for political procession or any political activities, rest of the areas were the normal and there is no restriction on movement of the people, he added.

Talking about the abrogation of special status under Article 370 Mr Shah further said that the entire world has supported our action and in next few years the State will become most developed state of the country.

Thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he further said that this was possible only because of the bold decision taken by him and in recently concluded United Nation General Assembly (UNGA) entire world has supported India’s move in J&K.

"All world leaders had gathered for seven days in UN. Not a single leader has raised this J&K issue. This is a big diplomatic victory of the Prime Minister," he said.

Hitting out the Opposition on the issue of human right violation in the state, the Home Minister said that over 41 lakh people have lost their lives in militancy over the years in the state and one asked for the human rights violation of Jawans, their widows and children.

“Some People have been making hue and cry for mobile connection which has been stopped due to security reasons. But absence of mobile connectivity in the state is not a human right violation”, Mr Shah quipped

He also said that 10,000 land line connection were given in J&K whereas 6000 PCOs have also been set up after August 5.
