Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty has been asked to appear before the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Sunday in connection with the probe on drug allegations surrounding Sushant Singh Rajput's death.

She has been asked to join the probe on Sunday, two days after her brother Showik was arrested by the NCB.

The officials from the investigating agency reached her Mumbai house this morning to serve the summons, media reports.

"Rhea Chakraborty is ready for arrest... it's a witch hunt. If loving someone is a crime, she'll face consequences. Being innocent, she hasn't approached any court for anticipatory bail in all cases foisted by (the) Bihar Police with (the) CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation), ED (Enforcement Directorate) and (the) NCB, " Satish Maneshinde, her lawyer told media on Sunday.

On Saturday, the NCB reportedly said that Rhea will be confronted with her brother who along with Sushant’s house manager Samuel Miranda were arrested by the NCB under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and remanded to NCB till Sept 9.

The NCB also arrested Dipesh Sawant, the house helper of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, in connection with the case.

NCB is the third Central agency to join the probe into the death of Sushant, after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

The NCB got into action after the Enforcement Directorate came across chats pertaining to drug consumption, procurement, usage and transportation in connection with the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.
