Ruckus in Lok Sabha over CAA, NPR, NRC
New Delhi/UNI: Proceedings in the Lok Sabha was stalled on Monday by the Opposition parties led by Congress over Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), NPR and NRC issues.
As soon as the House assembled for Question Hour, Congress and DMK members entered the Well and raised the issues.
Some of the Opposition members were also seen holding placards and raising anti-CAA slogans.
The Opposition raised slogans "No to CAA, No to NRC, No to NPR, Save our Constitution, Save our Democracy".
During the Question Hour when MoS Finance Anurag Thakur was replying to a question, the Opposition members created a ruckus over his controversial remark made against anti-CAA protesters during a rally.
Amid the din, Speaker Om Birla asked the protesting members to return to their seats and assured to give them sufficient time to raise their issues during the discussion on Motion of Thanks on the President's Address.
However, the Opposition members refused to relent.
The Speaker continued with the Question Hour despite the ruckus.
