Schools, cinema halls, gyms, pools in Assam closed till Mar 29

Guwahati/UNI: All educational institutes, cinema halls, gym and swimming pools in Assam will remain closed till March 29 next to prevent Coronavirus outbreak in the state.

Chief Secretary Kumar Sanjay Krishna, addressing a press conference here today, said the state government has issued the order, with immediate effect.

All examinations, except CBSE and state board, will be also postponed, he said.

Krishna added that all precautionary measures have been taken in the state to prevent the outbreak of the Corona virus.

Provision for 800 quarantine beds have been in the state, he said, though no positive case of the virus has been detected in the state so far.
